O juiz José Milton Barros de Araújo, do 2º Juizado Especial Misto de Patos, impôs medidas cautelares ao investigado. Na decisão que determina sua soltura, constam o comparecimento a todos os atos do processo, sempre que for intimado; comparecer, mensalmente em juízo, para justificar suas atividades, até fim do processo; não mudar de residência, sem prévia autorização do juízo, ou ausentar-se da Comarca por mais de 08 (oito) dias sem prévia comunicação à autoridade processante; e não cometer qualquer outra infração penal.

Um delegado foi preso pela Polícia Civil da Paraíba, na manhã de sexta-feira (4) durante uma operação contra o crime de corrupção em Patos, no Sertão do Estado.
Elcenho Engel Leite de Souza, atuava na Seccional de Patos e teve a prisão decretada na última terça-feira (1º). Ele é acusado de desviar recursos provindo de fianças pagas por presos.
O delegado responsável pelo caso, Cristiano Jacques deu coletiva de imprensa no final da manhã de sexta-feira (04), quando detalhou a operação.
