O governador João Azevêdo (PSB) reforçou durante a primeira audência do Plano Plurianual do Governo Federal a importância do orçamento democrático, realizado pelo Governo do Estado, como exemplo de ação para as gestões ouvirem mais a população. Azevêdo revelou que o estado já aplicou mais de R$ 3 bilhões em investimentos por meio de demandas do OD, em quatro anos.

“A gente sabe que a Paraíba tem uma experiência exitosa, em se tratando de orçamento democrático. Essa experiência tem gerado frutos extraordinários. Nos últimos quatro anos R$ 3,6 bilhões do nosso orçamento foram executados exatamente das demandas que a população apresentou no orçamento democrático”, disse. O governador participa do evento ao lado do ministro do governo Lula, Márcio Macedo, e de outras autoridades.
“Eu tenho certeza absoluta que não há outro caminho que não seja o diálogo para que a gente possa unir e reconstruir esse país verdadeiramente”, destacou o chefe do executivo estadual.
