Ao menos dez pessoas foram presas no início da manhã desta quarta-feira (05) eno âmbito da operação deflagrada pela Polícia Militar e Gaeco em cidades Paraíbanas. São cumpridos no total 63 mandados de prisão, com foco principal nos crimes violentos e patrimoniais. Até as 8h cerca de 40 suspeitos já tinham sido presos.
A operação, que está em curso em todo o Estado, também objetiva fortalecer a segurança pública e reduzir a criminalidade, reforçando a atuação das forças de segurança no combate ao crime e garantindo a tranquilidade da população.

De acordo com as instituições participantes, o planejamento estratégico da Operação Semana Santa envolve ações integradas e coordenadas entre as diferentes forças de segurança, o que tem permitido maior efetividade na localização e prisão de indivíduos com mandados de prisão em aberto.
Ainda segundo as polícias Militar, Civil e Penal e o Gaeco, a ação reafirma o compromisso desses órgãos na luta contra o crime e na preservação da ordem pública, garantindo a segurança e o bem-estar dos cidadãos em todo o Estado.

Os mandados de prisão em aberto são de pessoas residentes em Solânea (2), Jacarau (2), Guarabira (1), Araçagi (1), Casserengue (1), Arara (1), Ingá (1), Baia da Traição (1), João Pessoa (29), Santa Rita (3) e Cabedelo (1), Patos (2), Cajazeiras (1), Campina Grande (8), Monteiro (2), Fagundes (1), Gado Bravo (1), Juazeirinho (1), Serra Branca (1), Areial (1), Montadas (1) e Esperança (1). Entre os crimes cometidos por elas estão tráfico de drogas, roubo, porte de arma, furto, crime sexual, homicídio e violência doméstica.
