Treinador consolida seu nome entre os melhores do país ao tirar São Paulo da fila e emplacar mais um trabalho de sucesso
O título do São Paulo na Copa do Brasil, obtido neste domingo (24), diante do Flamengo, no Morumbi, tem um sabor especial para Dorival Júnior. No ano passado, o treinador ganhou a mesma competição com o Rubro-Negro e ainda faturou a taça da Copa Libertadores da América. Mesmo com os feitos, ele não teve seu contrato renovado e foi dispensado pela diretoria ao final da temporada. Preterido, o técnico viu a equipe carioca fechar com o português Vítor Pereira enquanto buscava uma recolocação no mercado da bola.
Menos de um ano depois, o comandante dá o “troco” em Rodolfo Landim, Marcos Braz e demais dirigentes. Além de ganhar um título contra o seu ex-time, Dorival também vê os cartolas flamenguistas desesperados por um novo profissional. Isto porque Jorge Sampaoli não deve continuar na Gávea nem para o restante do Brasileirão. Já Vítor Pereira, responsável por amargar uma série de fracassos no Rio de Janeiro, é quem está desempregado no momento.
O sentimento de vingança, porém, não domina Dorival Júnior. Antes mesmo da primeira final, realizada no Maracanã, o comandante são-paulino já afirmava que não era movido pela possível revanche. Segundo o treinador, seu objetivo sempre foi devolver o São Paulo ao caminho dos títulos. Para o Tricolor, a conquista inédita é especial por diversos motivos, desde a vaga na Libertadores até a premiação milionária. Já para Dorival, o troféu o consolida no hall dos principais profissionais do futebol brasileiro.
Após ter uma carreira com muita oscilação, o comandante chega ao terceiro bom trabalho consecutivo. Ainda no início do ano passado, ele fez o Ceará praticar um futebol vistoso e arrancar bem no Brasileirão. Chamando atenção, foi contratado pelo Flamengo, onde ganhou duas taças importantes. Agora no Tricolor, ele tira o clube de uma fila de 15 anos sem troféus nacionais.
