O Domingo 20 de Agosto – Dia do Maçon foi lembrado na Paraíba em atos solenes de hasteamento de Pavilhões e execução do Hino Nacional Brasileiro. A semana que antecede a data é marcada por sessões especiais em Brasília (Câmara e Senado), nas Assembleias Legislativas e Câmaras Municipais.
A Sublime Ordem, na Paraíba possui três Orientes: A Grande Loja, O Grande Oriente do Brasil e o Grande Oriente da Paraíba, este teve seu nascedouro no município de Mamanguape há quase 40 anos com a construção da Loja União Mamanguapense nº 01, e que teve nomes memoráveis nos seus primórdios como o Venerável Altair Quintão, João Pessoa de Carvalho, (já se encontram no Oriente Eterno)dentre outros, igualmente reconhecidos e respeitados na sociedade.
Atualmente a Loja Mater do GOPB é dirigida pelo Venerável Orlando Santos e pelo Grão-Mestre de Honra João Laércio Gagliardi Fernandes, e por suas LL.’.
